February got away from me, and now here we are whittling down the last few hours of March. In order to keep blogging and still spend as much time as possible with my family, I’m going to have to switch up my style. I enjoy writing and, in case you haven’t noticed already, I’m a “details” person. These can be wonderful attributes; however, when trying to be concise and save time they are a bit of a hindrance.
There are many things I want to share with you, so my new strategy is going to be more of a quick overview or just a description with photos. Hopefully, I can post quick snippets more often, rather than dismissing longer articles that never see the light of day due to time constraints. I figure a little bit of something is much better than nothing. And let’s be honest, you probably didn’t have time to read the long ones anyway.
So what have I been up to these last 2 months?
I’ve been enjoying life, falling more in love with my family, and anxiously anticipating the arrival of spring.
–Finishing up a group Bible study – James: Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore. It is fantastic, and I highly recommend you check it out. You can get all of the details and resources through Lifeway.com.
–Playing with our new Sony NEX-F3 camera – I love all of the features, the small size, interchangeable lenses, great results, and ability to record video.
–Trying to find a car seat to meet all of our needs – More on this later with what we have encountered and are trying to overcome
–Starting the search for a new vehicle – this is partially a result of the car seat endeavor
–Gearing up for Easter – started preparing 2 of my favorite dishes today: Acini de Pepe Salad and Deviled Eggs
–Getting ready to go on vacation – In a week L will get to experience her first plane ride (say a prayer for us all), and we’ll finally get to go visit our families.
I am so excited for all of the fun things happening lately. I’ll do my best to keep you updated on the car seat saga (we are currently on our 3rd with another being shipped today); as well as how things go as we look at a different vehicle. If you have any suggestions for great convertible car seats and family-friendly transportation please feel free to chime in. I’ll do my best to try to do some quick mobile updates during our trip and hopefully have some wisdom to impart regarding traveling with a baby when we return.
Stay tuned as we journey through this new season. I can’t wait to see how it all pans out. Many blessings to you and your families as we celebrate our Risen Lord this weekend.
